Ron Herman

Ron Herman was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1969. He received his MFA in Photography from the University of Notre Dame in 1994. His work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally and is included in the permanent collections of the Kinsey Institute, the Snite Museum of Art, and the South Bend Regional Museum of Art. He has photographed for Polo Ralph Lauren and Spiegel, and has lectured on his work and digital imaging technologies at Cornell, Stanford, and Yale universities. He is an award winning educator and an Associate Professor of Photography & Digital Imaging at Foothill College, located outside San Francisco, California. He has taught in Italy, Spain, Ireland, and the Czech Republic, and his personal travels have taken him to 19 different countries covering four continents. He believes in the importance of experiencing life as a foreigner and using these unique opportunities to learn about other cultures, the world, and our place in it.
